Join us for Retro Cannonball ’26, a two-day road trip from Dublin to Wexford via the Wicklow Mountains, before crossing the Knockmealdowns and finishing along the Copper Coast. Great roads, classic cars and even better company.
THE COUNTDOWN
THE ROUTE
This year, Retro Cannonball begins on the east coast, heading south from Dublin through the Wicklow Mountains and into the Sunny Southeast. We’ll stop for lunch at Mount Wolseley before continuing to Wexford for our first overnight at Whites of Wexford.
Day two takes us inland through the Knockmealdowns, with lunch at the Minella Hotel and sweeping views across the Golden Vale, before following the Copper Coast to our final overnight at The Tower Hotel in Waterford City.
STARTLINE: Radisson blu, little island
Our impressive array of iconic automobiles will rumble together creating a nostalgic symphony as they roll through the picturesque landscapes of Cork, Tipperary, Offaly and Westmeath.
LUNCH STOP: Kilshane house, co. tipperary
A delicious lunch awaits along the way in the spectacular Kilshane House in Tipperary.
Coffee STOP: Kinnitty Castle, Co. Offaly
We regroup, and enjoy a quick coffee stop in Kinnitty Castle.
FINISH LINE: The Sheraton, Athlone, Co. Westmeath
A Cannonball spectacle awaits at the finish line at the Sheraton Hotel, Co. Westmeath.

On day two after a delicious breakfast, we travel north through the lake county of Westmeath and on to the sprawling hilly county Tyrone replete with ancient forests and unspoilt scenery.
LUNCH STOP: Corick house, Clogher, Co. Tyrone
We will enjoy a very special lunch in Corick House in Tyrone before crossing on the ferry from Greencastle to Carlingford.
FINISH LINE: Ballymascanlon Hotel, Carlingford Road Co. Louth
Our second overnight stay is in Ballymascanlon Hotel on the Cooley Peninsula just 20 minutes from the bustling medieval town of Carlingford.
